How much does a Seychelles ferry ticket cost?
The price of a Seychelles ferry ticket depends on your chosen route and the class of travel. To give you an idea, Cat Cocos ferry tickets from Mahe to Praslin start from €60 one way for adults and €30 one way for children between 2 and 11 years old. For a ferry ticket from Mahe to La Digue, adult one-way prices start at €72, with child tickets costing from €42 — Infants under 2 years old travel for free.
When travelling with the Cat Cocos ferry from Mahe to Praslin or La Digue, you can choose two classes of travel - Economy and Buisness Class - split over three cabins: Main Inside Cabin, Upper Outside Deck and Buisness Class cabin. In general, an upgrade from the Main Cabin to the Upper Deck costs €6 per passenger each way. A one-way upgrade from the Economy Main Cabin to Business Class is €24 for adults and €18 for children.

Which ferry should I take?
It depends on where you need to travel to or from. If you’re on Mahe, Cat Cocos has several departures to Praslin 7 days a week. They also operate at least two daily trips to La Digue (with a short 15-30 minute stop in Praslin). For travel between Praslin and La Digue, Inter Island Ferry operates a regular daily shuttle service between the two islands. Search for ferry availability here.
Can I book a ferry from Mahe to La Digue?
Yes - Cat Cocos currently operates at least two return services daily between Mahe and La Digue. Board the Cat Cocos ferry for a direct connection* between the two islands. The ferry makes a short stop at the Baie Sainte Anne Jetty on Praslin for about 15-30 minutes before continuing its journey. More information about this service can be found in our Seychelles Island Hopping section.
*On certain days, passengers may need to transfer between vessels for their onward connection.
For more flexibility, you will need to book two separate tickets. You can travel with Cat Cocos from Mahe to Praslin and then transfer to an Inter Island Ferry for the onward journey to La Digue. You can check ferry timetables and book tickets on our Seychelles Island Hopping page.
My flight arrives around 06:30, so can I book the 07:30 ferry?
We would strongly recommend against booking the 08:00 ferry. In fact, for any connection between a flight arrival/departure and the ferry, you need to give yourself at least two hours. It sometimes takes 45-60 minutes (depending on how busy the flight is) to go through immigration, collect your baggage and clear customs at Mahe Airport. It’s then a 20-30 minute drive by taxi (at one's own cost) to the Victoria jetty. So, as you can see, even without any delays, you would be cutting it very close. Should you still decide to book the 08:00 ferry - with a flight arrival time of 06:30 or later - and miss it, the ferry company is not obliged to automatically re-book you on the next journey.
We therefore recommend you book the next scheduled service. You can then make use of the shuttle bus service from the airport.
Do you offer airport transfers?
For Cat Cocos passengers arriving/departing Mahe Airport, a shared shuttle bus service operates between the airport and the Cat Cocos jetty in Victoria.
For anyone wishing to make use of the airport transfer, the following fees will apply:
Adult: €10 each way / Child: €5 each way / Infant: No charge.
You should only book this service if your:
- Flight arrives at least 2 hours before the scheduled ferry departure time
- Flight departs at least 2 hours after the ferry arrives in Mahe
Transfers are provided shortly upon arrival. But buses leave no later than 1 hour before the scheduled ferry departure time.
Should your flight arrive less than 2 hours before the ferry departure time or depart less than 2 hours after the ferry arrives in Mahe, you must make your own way to the jetty. Taxis are readily available at the airport.
You can reserve seats on the airport shuttle during our simple booking process. Just remember to add your arriving/departing flight details in the space provided.
Hotel Transfers (shared service) can also be booked from/to the Cat Cocos ferry jetty and any hotel, resort, or guesthouse on Mahe, Praslin or La Digue (fees apply).
I've booked an airport transfer. Where can I find the shuttle bus? What time does it leave?
The shuttle bus is located just outside the terminal building at Mahe Airport. After collecting your baggage and clearing customs, exit the arrivals hall and look for the Creole Travel Services airport representatives, who will direct you to the shuttle bus. Mahe airport is relatively small, so you should be fine finding it. The shuttle bus leaves the airport shortly after your arrival, but no later than 1 hour before the scheduled ferry departure time. Journey time to the Victoria jetty is approximately 15-20 minutes.
For transfers back to the airport (or hotel) from the Victoria jetty, the shuttle bus is located right at the jetty. It leaves approximately 10-20 minutes after the ferry arrives, depending on how long it takes for all passengers to collect their luggage and board the bus. It is not possible to delay your return to the airport. Passengers wanting to spend some time in Victoria before a departing flight will have to return to the airport at their own expense.
Do you offer hotel transfers as well?
Yes! If you've booked ferry tickets with us, you can also book transfers between your hotel, resort, or guesthouse and the ferry jetties on Mahe, Praslin, and La Digue.
All transfers are offered by our local partners - Creole Travel Services (CTS) - who own and operate one of the largest fleets of vehicles in Seychelles. You can add a hotel pick-up to take you to the ferry jetty before your trip, as well as a drop-off for when you arrive at your destination.
And if you don't know where you're staying when booking your ferry tickets, don't worry, as hotel transfers can be added to your booking up to 24 hours before departure!
The price for a Shared Shuttle Bus Transfer between your hotel and the ferry jetty varies per island:
-
MAHE
Adult: €14 each way / Child: €7 each way / Infant: No charge
-
PRASLIN
Adult: €14 each way / Child: €7 each way / Infant: No charge
-
LA DIGUE
Adult: €16 each way / Child: €8 each way / Infant: No charge
For hotel pick-ups, you'll receive a notification from CTS, usually within 24-48 hours of booking, confirming the pick-up time of your transfer. If you've requested a hotel drop-off, just look for the CTS staff at the jetty upon arrival, and they'll direct you to the shuttle bus. Busses leave the jetty once all transferring passengers have disembarked the ferry and collected their luggage.
